I learned to play Go at the Massachusetts Go Association in 2003. Since then, Go has provided me with great pleasure, from studying the seemingly limitless variations to testing my skills under pressure to meeting other Go players. I’m especially thankful for the opportunity to study in Wuhan, China with Yan An 7p one summer. I want others to experience the same excitement and opportunities that I’ve had through Go, so I started the 9 Stars Go School in 2010 with the hopes of growing the next generation of Go players.
As a teacher, I’ve had the opportunity to help many learn Go through community events at the Boston Dragon Boat Festival and at the Peabody-Essex museum. I currently run and teach a beginner’s course at the Massachusetts Go Association.
In my spare time, I practice law, concentrating in estate planning. I also practice kung fu and tai chi.

I learned to play Go from a friend in high school in 2006. Although I’ve never had formal instruction, I have been fortunate to meet many strong players who have inspired me to study Go. I’m currently studying chemistry at MIT and I lead the MIT Go Club there. In my free time, I play piano.
